Celebrate This Week

​We have to celebrate this week – because it’s the first day of spring! This year’s Spring Equinox occurs on 20th March, when the sun crosses the celestial equator going from south to north.

Walk to Work Day

​This week it’s Walk To Work Day (on April 6th) when people around the world are encouraged to ditch the car or the bus and train journey to set out to their work places by striding out in style. We’ll extend that to social events and getting to the gym.

Stress Awareness Month

​We’re going into the second week of Stress Awareness Month, when health experts raise public awareness about the causes and solutions for our astronomic 21st Century stress levels.

No Smoking Day

It’s No Smoking Day this week (on the 14th), an annual campaign intended to help people who want to quit smoking.

According to the NHS, smoking is the biggest cause of preventable deaths in the country, causing more than 80,000 deaths every year. One in two smokers will die from a smoking-related disease, and for most of the others their health will suffer in some way.

National Bed Month

Throughout the merry month of March, it’s National Bed Month. Organised by The Sleep Council, it aims to remind everyone why a good sleep is superbly beneficial for good health
