you see the workout.
you don't see
the reason.

Feeling stronger. Clearing your head.
Managing pressure. Building confidence.
Finding a space to focus.

What's your reason?

Not every reason for working out is visible.

But every reason matters.

You're not alone - You're part of our tribe

For many people, movement is about more than physical progress.

It can be a way to reset after a difficult day. A reason to leave the house. A moment to breathe. A routine that brings structure. A space to focus. A way to feel stronger, not just physically, but mentally too.

And for a lot of people, that really matters.

Research continues to show a strong link between physical activity, connection, and mental wellbeing.

Member Stories

ehind every workout, there is a story.

Some people come to train for confidence. Some for headspace. Some for routine. Some because it helps them feel stronger in ways other people might never see.

Here are just a few voices from the NRG community.

#ShareYourStory

Everyone has a reason.

For many people, NRG is more than just a gym. It’s a place to build confidence, find routine, improve mental wellbeing, feel part of a community, or simply take time for themselves.

If NRG has had a positive impact on your mental health or helped you through a difficult time, we’d love to hear your story.

You can share your experience in whatever way feels most comfortable for you – written, audio or video – and you can choose whether you’d like your story to remain anonymous.

At this stage, your story will only be submitted directly to the NRG team. We will never publicly share your story, name, image or submission without contacting you first to ask for your permission.

If we’d like to feature your story as part of the campaign, a member of the team will contact you separately to discuss how you would like to be represented, including whether you would prefer to remain anonymous.

There’s no pressure to write lots – even a few sentences can make a difference.

Support looks different for everyone.

For some people, movement and routine make a big difference. For others, it also helps to know there are other forms of support available when they need them.

That is why NRG offers NRG PLUS HEALTH, which includes access to additional wellbeing support through its HealthHero partnership. NRG’s internal materials describe this as part of a wider digital healthcare offer that includes mental health support, alongside other services, in a more accessible format.

For members who value encouragement and shared experience, PLUS HEALTH also includes double the guest pass allowance of standard membership, making it easier to bring someone with you.
