World Mental Health Day is on 10th October this year. It’s never been more important as rates of depression, anxiety and suicide continue to rise. And increasingly the experts are proving how essential it is that we keep ourselves fit and healthy: our physical wellbeing has a huge influence on our mental wellbeing.
In fact, the Mental Health Foundation charity states that exercise has a massively positive impact our self-esteem and self-worth. That means we can cope with “life on life’s terms” so much better.
The fact is that if you join a team or such as a gym you’ll be mixing with other people. Loneliness is often cited as a key factor in mental health problems. So that’s another great reason we’d love you to visit one of our gyms.
