How are your New Year’s Resolutions going so far?

A week into the New Year – so how are your New Year’s Resolutions going so far…? We hope that in among them “getting fitter” was one vow. We think it should be top of anyone’s list. Without good health, everything else suffers.

So much of who we are and what we achieve is in the mind. For instance, the FA Cup footie matches are well underway now, and the positive mindset is what makes a small team into a giantkiller. You are what you think.

The only thing stopping you becoming the fittest you’ve ever been this year is you, and most specifically what goes on between your ears. If you genuinely believe it and have a real desire, you could be standing there this time next year thinking: I did it – I am the fittest I’ve ever been.

Something that helps many achievers is to imagine the feeling they’ll get when they reach their aim. So close your eyes and try it. Picture yourself how you want to be, and what you want to be able to do by this time next year in terms of your fitness – and feel that feeling. It feels fantastic, doesn’t it!
