This week in 1970, the world’s first “Jumbo Jet” – the Boeing 747 – made its maiden voyage from New York’s John F Kennedy International Airport to London Heathrow. It was a major historical moment that transformed all our lives in terms of travel and seeing new people, places and things around the world.
If you’re anything like the rest of the country you’ve quite possibly piled on a few pounds over the holiday season. So this week to the 14th January is the ideal week to start losing weight. From being more physically active to eating more healthily you can start right now. Clearly getting to the gym is a good move towards losing weight.
Now we know you’ll not be sitting around watching TV and eating too much – when you could be taking a dip in the icy British seas! Christmas Day is when thousands flock to see courageous and somewhat crazy swimmers run and dive into the sea for the Christmas Swim.
Are you ready for the Big Day? Or like us, can you not believe that Christmas Day 2017 is just days away? So now it’s just a case of counting down until the morning after the night before when Santa has been down the chimneys of the world delivering gifts to everyone on the Nice List… (We KNOW you’re on it!)
