IMPORTANT MEMBER INFO
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW FOR YOUR FIRST VISIT BACK TO NRG GYM
NRG GYMS are re-opening at 8AM on Saturday 25th July and we can’t wait to see you all!
We know you may have some questions ahead of your first visit back, so we’re here to put your mind at ease and provide you with all the information you need.
While our plans are to return to a 24-hour gym when we can, our opening times from 25th July will be 7am – 10pm (Monday – Friday) and 8am – 8pm (Saturday – Sunday).
Reducing the opening hours temporarily will enable us to have a Gym Manager on site at all times to help answer any questions from members and ensure all our operating procedures are being implemented.
You won’t need to book a time slot to use the gym and we won’t be putting a time cap on the time you spend in the gym. We believe the gyms are big enough to ensure everyone that wants to train can, while we will continue to monitor usage levels to ensure we don’t exceed the maximum number of people training at any one time based on the guidelines.
In order to adhere to the government’s track and trace policies, every member will need to use their pin to enter the gym. If you can’t remember your pin you can contact the gym via email. If you arrive at the gym and can’t remember your pin, then please just buzz for assistance and a member of the team will come to the entrance to assist.
Group exercise classes
Please note that our group exercise classes will start from Monday 3rd August. This will include all external instructor led classes. We will be running a reduced timetable until further notice and all classes can be booked via the App.
Capacities will be reduced to maintain social distancing so please book early to avoid disappointment. The new timetable will be available and updated via your gym’s specific webpage
The changing rooms including showers will be open and cleaned regularly, but where possible we will ask members to arrive at the gym ready to train so we can limit changing room use. Saunas will remain closed until further notice.
Use of gym equipment
Whilst we have looked to limit any changes on the gym floor, some equipment will be out of use to help maintain appropriate social distancing.
Punch bags will be available to use but you must use your own boxing gloves. ‘One on one’ pad work will not be permitted until further notice.
How you can help us
There will be a lot of additional cleaning taking place in the gym, but it remains the responsibility of each member to use the cleaning materials provided to clean all equipment after use.
Hand sanitiser will also be available on entry to the gym and we ask all members to wash their hands regularly whilst working out.
What happens to your membership on re-opening
Your membership will be reactivated when we re-open, which means from 8am on 25th July you will be able to visit the gym again and start training. Just use your pin as you did before to gain entry.
Your next direct debit payment will be taken on the same day of the month as it always has been previously. We simply froze your membership when we closed and will unfreeze and reactivate it when we re-open.
Share your workout plans!
We hope you are as excited as we are to be heading back to the gym!
